Yeti’s Latest Yonder Bottles Ditch The Heavy-Duty Metal Hardware
Back in 2008, Yeti unveiled its first official product to the world in the form of an overbuilt cooler called the Tundra. It was rugged and stocky and designed to withstand a bear attack—and people loved it. Years later, the Texas outfitter released a series of insulated, metal canteens that could keep liquids hot or cold for hours. These too would become best sellers as we distanced ourselves from single-use plastics. And in a similar way, its roster of heavy-duty equipment continued to expand as duffel bags, blankets and backpack coolers hit the scene.
Today, however, Yeti is revisiting one of its original offerings, ditching heavy-duty metals and insulation for simplicity and weight savings with a brand new water bottle collection called Yonder.
As Yeti’s first foray into the plastic bottle space, the Yonder collection might look familiar, but it actually represents a departure from the norm for an established brand. These are the first non-insulated bottles Yeti has ever made, and they’re 50% lighter than comparably sized Ramblers. They’re ergonomically designed with a flat side that’s easier to grip, while the loop at the top acts as a clip or a carrying handle. And to top it off, a drinking spout channels water into your mouth, so there’s more sipping and less spilling, even if you’re getting active.
The one detail that remains unchanged? Durability. While Yonder bottles look a little different than the Yetis bottles you already own, they’re still incredibly robust, leakproof and ready for the adventures ahead. That means you can drop ‘em on the ground, toss ‘em in the car and let your dog gnaw on them by the campfire. Like all good Yeti products, they’re built to last.
Find the new Yonder bottles in two sizes—25 ounces ($25) and 34 ounces ($28)— and four fresh colorways.
