When a new season is on the horizon, I always run to Target to peek at its new arrivals, and the pieces the retailer dropped to celebrate the start of fall are almost too good. Everything changed when I spotted this knit lady cardigan online at Target. It’s available in sizes XS to 4X in black and cream stripes, red and cream stripes, solid cream, or solid navy. I picked up the red and cream stripes because it makes a fun statement while still feeling timeless, thanks to the two front pockets and gold buttons. I can’t wait to pair this with jeans and flats or boots. Sizes are already selling out in select colors, so if it’s on your list, act fast.

My longtime secret to comfy shoes is Target, and shoppers love the A New Day Maddison Sneakers. The 3/4-length balloon sleeves are a great fall length because they’re long enough to offer a little bit of warmth without feeling hot, and I love that the blouse even includes a slight peplum. To make the style a little more modest, I’ll add a tank top underneath (this Target style is my favorite, but this cami will work too) and pair it with jeans or dress pants. The hardest decision to make is which color to buy because they’re all so classic, but black stripes is my pick.

Ava & Viv Short Sleeve Tiered Midi Shirtdress

Finding pieces that you can wear as we transition from summer to fall isn’t always easy, but this classic tiered midi shirtdress is a fantastic option. It’s made from gauze cotton, so it’ll feel lightweight and cool to wear now while temperatures are still soaring. But the moodier bronze, green, and black floral colorways make it a great pick for fall. The collared neckline, buttons, belt, and pockets (!) are my other favorite details of this dress that’s as perfect to wear to an office or in a classroom during the week as it is to wear to the farmer’s market on the weekend.
