Hoka X Reformation: The Limited Edition Collab Features Three Seriously Chic Colors

Reformation and Hoka just launched a limited-edition sneaker collection with three exclusive colors that are incredibly stylish and versatile. Our team has extensively reviewed and tested Hoka sneakers in the past (we named the Hoka Clifton 9 the best cushioned walking shoe for women overall.) While these latest shoes aren’t made for long-distance runs, they’re an excellent option for everyday activities, from walking to running errands to your favorite workout class.

An iteration of the Mach 6, these sneakers have a bouncy feel thanks to the ultra-light foam in the midsole combined with a low-profile design. The shoes are made from recycled polyester (Syrah Savvy Red) or organic cotton (Eggnog Shortbread and Flint Grey Rainy Day) and feature the brand’s proprietary rubber outsole for added durability. Although Hoka is known for its bold, vibrant designs and colors, this collection has two neutral colorways and a red monogram with solid-colored laces. All colors are available in women’s sizes 5 to 11. Keep reading for more details on the new collection, and grab a pair before they sell out.

Subtle Pattern For Visual Interest

Hoka x Reformation Mach 6 LS Monogram

Ideal for fall outfits, the Mach 6 in Syrah Savvy Red has a subtle pattern with deep red laces that adds a fun pop of color. Pair these shoes with leggings, jeans or even wide-leg dress pants.

Monochromatic And Super Chic

If you prefer neutral-hued footwear, opt for the Eggnog Shortbread color, which has white uppers with soft peach-colored laces and rubber outsoles. Pair these with Reformation’s Auggie Pant or Mason Pant in Sugar to keep things monochromatic.

Sporty And Versatile

As the name suggests, this colorway incorporates different shades of grey for an elevated design that can be dressed up or down. For a cozy fall ensemble, throw them on with Reformation’s Kira Wide Leg Sweatpant and the Ezra Slim Fit Long Sleeve.

What Makes This Collab Unique

While Hoka has done collabs in the past (with Free People, for example), this latest limited-edition drop with Reformation represents the brand’s biggest stylistic shift toward more “quiet” colorways. Reformation is the right partner for this move: The brand began as a vintage store that re-tailored clothing, but quickly expanded to make its own quietly-cool designs and launched online in 2013. Sustainability is at the forefront of everything they do, and 98% of its fabrics are made from recycled, regenerative or renewable materials. The brand also uses deadstock bags and offers customers the ability to resell clothing they no longer want or need through ThredUp. All of the new Hoka x Reformation styles are 100% recyclable through the fashion retailer’s RefRecycling program, and made with recycled polyester or organic cotton.

What Makes Hoka So Popular

Hoka was founded in 2009 by two French athletes and product developers and has quickly become one of the most popular running shoes on the market. (Read our guide to the best Hoka running shoes for our top workout picks.) The brand started off selling thickly cushioned trail running shoes with a “rocker” design—now referred to as a MetaRocker—that helps propel you forward and keep you moving. Despite its thick midsoles, Hoka shoes are incredibly lightweight and comfortable, whether you’re going for a quick walk or logging miles on both trails and roads. The brand has since expanded to clothing and accessories, but its sneakers are still the most popular offering and come in bold, vibrant designs that are unmistakable on the road. This new collab gives those who lean more subtle and understated in their fashion taste a chance to explore the brand, too.
