For the fastest, most responsive gaming experience, you need a great gaming mouse. And, if you’re not keen on having yet another cable cluttering your desk, the best wireless gaming mice enjoy all the benefits of other top gaming mice, like a lightweight design and accurate sensor, but with the added benefit of no wire dragging along your mousepad.
Where older wireless gaming mice designs had to contend with a short battery life or greater input lag, that’s no longer the case. The latest and greatest wireless gaming mice are incredibly fast, last for days or weeks without recharging, and have all the lighting, remappable buttons, and mechanical switches you could hope for. Our favorite is the Razer DeathAdder V3 Pro Wireless, but for MOBA fans there’s always the Razer Naga V2 Pro, while I personally use the Logitech G Pro Wireless daily. Still, there’s a great selection of other mice to choose from. Here are the best wireless gaming mice you can buy.
Connection: 2.4Ghz, Bluetooth | Sensor: Optical | Polling rate: 4,000Hz | Weight: 63g | Battery life: Up to 90 hours
Best for: High speed competitive gaming.
The Razer DeathAdder V3 Pro is the latest generation of a classic design, with iconic ergonomics combined with a modern sensor, great battery life and a new lightweight chassis. It’s equipped with a powerful Razer HyperSpeed wireless transmitter. While input lag is enhanced by the super-fast 8,000 Hz polling rate, that impacts battery life, dropping it to just 19 hours when using the HyperSpeed wireless dongle (sold separately). In standard 2.4GHz wireless mode, you can get up to 90 hours from this high-end gaming mouse. In either case, it charges fast using the included USB Type-C cable.
The Razer Focus Pro optical sensor offers an admittedly unnecessary 30,000 DPI option for those who need maximum sensitivity in certain niche game settings. With the ability to step the sensitivity in minute increments, you can customize the sensitivity to your liking, and then save it in one of the onboard profiles for easy switching. The speedy optical switches are rated for last over 90 million clicks, and the overall design is incredibly lightweight, coming down to just 63 grams (2.2 ounces).
Pros:
Impressively lightweight
Fast and responsive wireless connection
Long battery life when using Bluetooth
Cons:
Battery life more limited when using HyperSpeed wireless
Expensive
Best Ambidextrous Wireless Gaming Mouse
Wireless Charging For Left And Right-Handers
Logitech G Pro
Connection: 2.4GHz |Sensor: Optical |Polling rate: 1,000Hz |Weight: 80g |Battery life: Up to 48 hours
Best for: Fast, lightweight gaming who want to game left-handed or with either hand.
The Logitech G Pro wireless is a great wireless gaming mouse that works just as well for right-handed, as it does for left-handed gamers. It’s completely symmetrical, so can be configured for left or right-handed gamers, remapping the buttons on the side to whatever functions are best for you. The Lightspeed connectivity at the heart of the G Pro is what sets it apart from other wire-free mice, though. Its latency is just 1ms, making it extremely responsive. Logitech engineered the wireless transmission process to be as fast and seamless as possible, making this mouse competitive with some of the quickest wired mice when comparing input registration.
The Logitech G Pro weighs in at just 80 grams (2.82 ounces) and it’s lightning fast no matter what kind of grip you have or which game you’re playing. What’s also useful is the mouse’s 48- to 60-hour battery life. How long the battery lasts will depend on the mouse’s features you enable. However, if you use this mouse in conjunction with a Logitech Powerplay wireless charging mouse pad (sold separately for $120), you never need to worry about battery life or manually charging your mouse ever again—it’ll automatically charge while you play.
What the writers say: Forbes Vetted contributor Jon Martindale uses this mouse as his daily driver: “I love the G Pro Wireless. It’s super comfortable for my finger-grip style, and the wireless recharging is a really useful feature. I never have to charge it.”
Pros:
Excellent sensor
Perfect for ambidextrous users
Adjustable mechanical switches
Cons:
Expensive
Heavier than super-lightweight designs
Best Wireless Gaming Mouse For MOBA/MMO
All The Buttons You Need
Razer Naga V2 Pro
Connection: 2.4GHz, Bluetooth | Sensor: Optical | Polling rate: 4,000Hz | Weight: 134g | Battery life: Up to 300 hours
Best for: Playing MOBAs, MMOs and any other games with macros and many button inputs.
For MOBAs and MMO games, having a mouse with all the buttons you need for your various macros, attacks and commands can be a real life saver. The Razer Naga V2 Pro is the latest version of Razer’s beloved MMO mouse design, with a comfortable shell with ergonomic supports, a fast and accurate sensor, lengthy battery life and all the buttons you could use. There are 12 remappable buttons for the thumb grip, each of which can be given a unique command or combination of inputs based on your preferences.
If that’s more than you need though, don’t fret. The Naga V2 Pro also comes with several replaceable thumb-grip fittings, so you can swap out those buttons for a smaller array of six, or a standard two button array with textured thumb grip. Whatever configuration you use, you get the fast and responsive mouse. It has a standard 1,000Hz polling rate on 2.4GHz or Bluetooth connection, though you can boost that to 4,000 Hz with the Hyperspeed dongle (sold separately). You’ll get up to 300 hours of battery life on Bluetooth, or up to 150 hours when using the dongle.
Pros:
Lots of buttons, with several configuration options
Fast and responsive sensor with high polling rate
Lengthy battery life
Cons:
Hyperspeed dongle is an additional purchase
Expensive

Who Said Fast Wireless Gaming Was Expensive?
Corsair Katar Pro
Connection: 2.4GHz, Bluetooth | Sensor: Optical | Polling rate: 2,000Hz | Weight: 96g | Battery life: Up to 135 hours
Best for: Playing your favorite games wirelessly for cheap.
The Corsair Katar Pro wireless is an excellent wireless gaming mouse if you want to spend less than $50. Where many of its contemporaries will cost you well in excess of $100, this model costs less than half of that and still offers dual wireless operation—a fast 2.4Ghz wireless or greater versatility with Bluetooth—a fast 2,000Hz polling rate and a relatively lightweight design. It’s a little heavier than some, but it’s still lighter than many traditional designs and has no wired tether dragging you down.
The battery life is impressive at 135 hours. However, it doesn’t have recharging, as it uses a standard AA battery, so you’ll want to invest in a few rechargeable batteries of your own and a recharger so you aren’t changing out the battery every week. It also has full support for Corsair’s iCUE lighting platform, so while this mouse doesn’t have a ton of lighting customization options, it can sync up with any other Corsair devices you have for a uniform RGB lighting setup.
Pros:
Very affordable price
Fast and responsive
Bluetooth and 2.4Ghz connection options
Cons:
Uses AA batteries
Not as fast or accurate as top gaming mice
Best Lightweight Gaming Mouse
Super Light, Super Fast And Super Accurate
Steelseries Aerox 5
Connection: 2.4GHz, Bluetooth | Sensor: Optical | Polling rate: 1,000Hz | Weight: 74g | Battery life: Up to 180 hours
Best for: Playing competitive games at high-speed.
The latest generations of ultralight gaming mice are very light indeed, but the best lightweight mouse isn’t just the one that’s the absolute lightest. The Steelseries Aerox 5 is lighter than most at 76g, but despite there being lighter mice, it still holds its own and is our favorite in this category. It has a high polling rate, great battery life—the 180 hours is on Bluetooth, it gets around 80 hours on 2.4GHz and it’s really comfortable to hold. The perforated back of the mouse makes the interior more vulnerable, but it has an IP 54 rating thanks to its “AquaBarrier,” keeping it safe from dust, sweat and even the odd drink spill. Just don’t try dunking it in the bath.
Elsewhere in the design you get a range of customizable buttons, including a unique thumb-grip button. The sensor is super accurate and very responsive, working well on a range of surfaces. The mouse is comfortable for different grip types—even my personal preference finger-grip style, and it has some attractive lighting you can sync up with your other devices if you wish. For those that want to show off special swag, Steelseries comes out with limited editions of this mice every so often, with the most recent limited edition being a Diablo 4 design that’s worthy of taking on Lilith herself.
Pros:
Lightweight design for competitive play
Fast and responsive sensor
Useful IP54 rating protects against sweat and spills
Cons:
Lower polling rate than the most competitive of esports mice
Best RGB Wireless Gaming Mouse
The Prettiest Light Show In Town
Roccat Burst Pro Air
Connection: 2.4GHz, Bluetooth | Sensor: Optical | Polling rate: 1,000Hz | Weight: 81g | Battery life: Up to 100 hours
Best for: Playing your favorite games with gorgeous lighting.
The Roccat Burst Pro Air is a unique-looking gaming mouse with an ultra light design, great battery life, an accurate and responsive sensor and a great ergonomic build. While it’s a great gaming mouse in itself, the real standout feature for this one is its lighting system. There’s lighting in the palm rest area, under the buttons and under the scroll wheel. It’s all customizable and looks fantastic when gaming. The semi-translucent design of the mouse gives it a unique look even among its contemporaries, making this a great looking gaming mouse among a sea of good looking mice.
It’s a solid gaming mouse in itself and very affordable. It’s very lightweight, and though 100 hours isn’t as high as some, it’s enough to get you through a few days. It recharges quickly using the Phantom Flex cable, that you barely feel when in use, so it’s not so bad to charge while you play.
Pros:
Amazing lighting system
Affordable price
Lightweight design
Cons:
Lower polling rate than top gaming mice
Battery life could be better, but then that is a lot of LEDs
How We Chose The Best Wireless Gaming Mice
To find the best wireless gaming mice, we combined our first-hand knowledge of a wide range of gaming mice, with the opinions of our fellow tech writers here at Forbes, thoughts of colleagues throughout the industry and robust research.
We’ve have hands-on time with some of these models in person, and we are when it comes to their build quality and features. Additionally, we’ve performed extensive comparisons between third-party and user reviews, to find the wireless mice that everyone says are great; not just the professionals.
You can rest assured, these are the best wireless gaming mice you can buy in 2024.
How Does DPI Impact The Performance Of A Gaming Mouse?
DPI, or dots per inch, determines the sensitivity and precision of cursor movement on the screen. A higher DPI setting means the cursor covers more pixels with a smaller physical movement, providing faster response and smoother tracking.
For gamers who require precision in tasks like sniping, a higher DPI can be literally game-changing. However, you need to balance DPI with personal preference and what games you intend to play. After all, a AAA, first-person-shooter game will require a much higher DPI than, say, a casual cozy game.
How Do Battery Life And Charging Options Vary Among Different Wireless Gaming Mice?
A wireless gaming mouse’s battery life can range from several hours to several weeks, depending on your usage. Some mice use rechargeable batteries, while others feature replaceable ones. Additionally, charging methods vary, with options like USB-C, micro USB or wireless charging pads. Choosing a mouse with a battery life that aligns with your gaming needs and a convenient charging solution for you ensures the best gameplay without worrying about frequent recharging.
How Does Low Latency In A Wireless Gaming Mouse?
Low latency directly impacts the responsiveness of cursor movement on-screen. Latency refers to the delay between physical mouse movements and the corresponding actions on the display. A wireless mouse with high latency can cause lag and affect gameplay, leading to missed shots or clunky maneuvering during your gaming. Opting for a wireless gaming mouse with low latency ensures a speedy and real-time connection, improving your overall gaming experience by providing a competitive edge in reaction time.
