The Best Electric Scrubbers We've Ever Tested
If cleaning the bathroom, kitchen, and window panes feels like a workout, we have just the tool for you. The electric scrubber can get into grimy nooks and crannies and clean them in a fraction of the time it would take with a cloth or sponge—with no extra effort required from you.
There are many variations of this handy tool, some with extendable handles for hard-to-reach spots, others with several different attachment heads to handle every task. Not all electric scrubbers are worthy of your consideration, though. In fact, some are rather ineffective and a waste of money, so we tested 15 different models to come up with the best eight.
We tried the scrubbers out on an array of grubby tasks, testing out all the functions and attachments each model offered, and evaluated each tool’s performance, efficiency, ease of use, and overall value for money. We also spoke to Ryan Knoll, owner of professional home cleaning service Tidy Casa, for expert advice on what to look for when shopping for electric scrubbing brushes.

It has a comfortable grip pad, is lightweight, and is effective at cleaning tile and grout.

There’s only one power level.
Out of all the electric scrubbers we tested, the Black+Decker Grimebuster Pro Power Scrubber Brush was our favorite, thanks to its ease of use, effectiveness, and reasonable price. What immediately stood out to us was the ergonomic handle. This ensured a comfortable grip during extended cleaning sessions, and we’re pleased to report absolutely no discomfort or arm fatigue.
Its well-thought-out design and seamless rotation minimizes strain on the hands when cleaning, and its powerful motor effortlessly lifted stains from surfaces with minimal arm movement required. Switching between scrub heads was also a breeze, as it has an intuitive and hassle-free attachment system that allows for quick changes without having to get your hands dirty. No cleaning solution or dirt leaked from the scrubber’s head to our hands during head changes. It comes with a bristle brush and a multipurpose sponge, which can handle most daily cleaning chores.
The device is well made with a durable construction and comes with a wall-mounting charging stand so you can conveniently recharge and store it when it’s not in use. This sponge only has one power setting, and we think a stronger option would be nice for tackling tougher stains. However, the singular setting was more than sufficient for successfully cleaning tile and grout, and when we applied extra pressure, the motor continued to function flawlessly. Even the bristles and sponge remained intact.
After two months of use, we've noticed no changes in quality or performance. While the sponge faded slightly in color, the scrub heads were very easy to clean: Just submerge them in water and activate the scrubber for thorough and quick cleaning or pop them in the dishwasher.
