The Dyson Ball Animal 3 has excellent suction, conquering pet hair, toddler messes, and kitchen debris with ease. We appreciated its hair removal grooves on the roller that help detangle hair automatically, reducing the need to stop and clear out clogs.
We liked how its adjustable pile settings allow it to perform as well on thick carpets as it does on hardwoods. Although it is heavier than other uprights, the ball joint helps it easily navigate terrains and furniture in your home, particularly in tight corners and under taller furniture like beds.
However, it was a bit loud, so it’s likely to disrupt any TV watching since it can be heard from adjacent rooms, but that’s a small trade-off for its suction capabilities, which can apply to a variety of surfaces in your home.
The “extra” addition to its name refers to the vacuum's attachments, like an upholstery cleaning head, a stair tool, and, yes, an attachment for grooming your pet. There really isn't a cleaning job within your home this vacuum can’t tackle.
