To find the best down comforters, we tested 70 options in our lab and at home, resulting in over 1,000 hours of testing. We evaluated each comforter based on their quality, breathability, texture, durability, and overall value. The Kassatex European White Good Down Comforter strikes the elusive balance that every good down comforter should: It's ultra plush and fluffy, but it’s not overly cumbersome to sleep with. It works for both hot and cold sleepers alike.
Even after testing for six months, the fabric feels cool to the touch, and we didn't overheat while sleeping with it, nor did we wake up freezing—we just felt comfortable and warm. We tested the all-season one, but you can opt for the lighter fill option if you are worried about getting too hot under it.
Despite the serious loft the baffle box construction and 650-fill power down provide, we didn’t feel it was overly heavy or stifling when lying under it. It also has great fill distribution and stays consistently fluffy, plus it still looks brand-new.
Through many wash cycles, the duvet never snagged or ripped, and it feels just as soft as the day we first put it on our bed. The only downside is that the sizing options are a little limited, but we think it's a great pick for anyone who wants an airy, versatile comforter.
